Contribution to history and heritage

The Ceylon Society actively encourages members to research, write and publish information relating to the historical heritage of Ceylon and Sri Lanka.

Many people have had their first articles published in the Society's journal, The Ceylankan, and have since written more articles.

We are always interested in receiving new articles for our Journal, even from non-members. If you have something relevant or interesting about the history and heritage of Ceylon, even if it is only an idea, we encourage you to publish it. To discuss this further, please submit your idea or proposal for an article.

Member publications

A number of our members have published books both in Australia and overseas and some of these may still be available directly from members or through our Shop.
