Ceylon Society - Meeting Venues

The Ceylon Society holds regular meetings in Sydney, Melbourne and Colombo.

Members and their guests have the privilege of listening to presentations from guest speakers. All presentations end with a question and answer session.

These meetings are very popular because of the learned guest speakers who have given their time and energy to share their valuable scholarly works and experiences with members.

Ceylon Society Meetings - a unique experience

Items relating to the Island are also displayed at meetings and buying, selling and swapping of collectibles is a regular feature. This includes publications written by members, which also provides an opportunity to collect an autographed edition.

A unique feature of our meetings is that members and their partners bring food (usually home-made), which is shared and enjoyed by everyone after the presentations.

Guest Speakers - We need you!

We are always looking for guest speakers who do not need to be members of our Society. If you have something relevant or interesting about the history and heritage of Ceylon, even if it is only an idea, we encourage you to present it.
